without transportation
many of those people
wouldn’t even be there.

@syed @stux That was my next point as well. Now show the enormity of the world opened up to us *because* of cars & transport. You can’t walk to Yellowstone to take that amazing hike.

exactly—-personal transport
made our world way way
more accessible to people
of a wider economic and
geographical background.

I'm not sure what your point is. There are many forms of transportation not just cars.

yeah I live in NYC
and use “others” daily.

do your groceries arrive to
the store by subway?

are there buses running
frequently in small towns?

how does someone commute
from outside the city into one
if there is no access outside?

there is more to the story
then a set of ideals…

but it still means roads
big enough for buses,
ambulances, trucks!

Public transport is great
but it leaves people out
and personal transportation
changes the lives of many
who regularly get left behind.

Private transport is great
but it leaves people out
and personal transportation like bikes changes the lives of many
who regularly get left behind.

@syed @stux yes and literally no body creditable anyway is claiming we don't need both

I was replying to the photo posted
which postulates an absurd gap
in reality—however I concede
cartoons can be like that! :)
