Gregory's Server@stux there are still areas all over the world (old and new) where streets with zero vehicle access. In those areas the 'street' can be 1-2m wide. We are not sacrificing space to cars, we are allocating that space for vehicles in addition to the pedestrian sidewalk.
@davidgrieve @stux Exactly & what % of the people in the area of that drawing could even be there w/out a car to get there. I swear all these anti car people have never been injured or disabled or seemingly... had friends who were or even just had kids. A mother w/ 4 young kids walking 3 blocks to a bus stop? A wheelchair bound person who lives out side the town bus route? Someone on crutches or just someone without the physical stamina to walk 3 blocks?
