Here's everything that is coming in #hometown v1.0.8 (which I will release once I have tested it here on Friend Camp for a few days):

Particularly excited about the addition of the "multiple choice" toggle to polls. Did you know that Mastodon supports multiple choice polls? It does, but it's a hidden feature where you have to click the round buttons to the left of your poll choices while making the poll. It's so weird.

Anyway this makes things clearer.

A Mastodon poll composition interface, but there is a checkbox that says "Multiple choice".

@darius I wanted to place a cartoon-pic and suddenly this choice 1, 2 pop up and I did not know what to do.
I am only few days on mast and just finding my way, being over 83 is not easy. 😀

Darius Kazemi

@Pablito Ah yes, you must have slipped and pressed the poll button instead of "attach file"! I'm sure you will get used to it, and I'm always available to help.

@darius Thank you and I do hope not to bother you too often. And hope to amuse you with my cartoons in future.
I am lazy person and instead of a thousand words I prefer to post one picture. 🙂

@darius Oh, this is so nice. Polls that retain nuance and maximal information about voter preferences are the way to go.

@darius are you now clear on how to make multiple-choice polls?

@darius yay nice!

Do you plan to build a release based on Mastodon 4, or continue as a fork of 3.5? Not making a request either way, just curious.

Darius Kazemi

@scott sticking to 3.5 until probably Mastodon hits 4.1. there are usually a lot of issues with Mastodon x.0 releases so I like to wait until a new minor (non-patch) version hits
