Good evening, Twitter was a 16 year sociological study conducted by Harvard University. We are now complete with our study. Thank you for your time.

@nisadani @dramypsyd so Musk was an artificial creation to introduce a chaos element to the experiment…and as anticipated the birds all flocked away…very clever…makes sense now! @TheMorrigan @nisadani @dramypsyd Basically all of South Africa was the background for the chaos element. And that started in the 1700s. @jstroik @cusick @dramypsyd Ah! Yet another flagship study leading to a conclusion about the importance of ethical oversight - or lack thereof - in research design and implementation. You can find it in the section called… (checks notes) unexpected outcomes? 🤷🏻♀️ @cusick @jstroik @dramypsyd Every journal they submitted their findings to objected on ethical grounds. No, not due to the shady methodology or lack of IRB approval. The results were a Lovecraftian cosmic horror that drove readers to absolute despair. @PeoriaBummer @cusick @dramypsyd 🤣 That's how Twitter makes people feel Now I wish I could quote tweet. But not to dunk, instead because I love this comment and want to add context to my follower in case they open mastodon @cusick @jstroik @dramypsyd yes, we learned that the one main question about life, universe and everything is... @dramypsyd Just did some calc, let me illustrate the result like this: @ceha I would love to be in the middle of that mountain, it sounds like sensory paradise! @dramypsyd Anyway I have to admit a tiny midnight calc flaw: the 2.2bn blahaj could actually cover an area of _only_ 220 square km... just in case you plan some epic purchase now... @cusick @jstroik @dramypsyd I think we already knew what the great Bard sang: @jstroik @dramypsyd We learned they tend to try and flex with money to buy their dough boy selves into the cool kids club, and tend to blame everyone else for their screw ups. A toxic mix of hypocrisy, arrogance, and poor listening skills. Gosh it's hard not to use bad words sometimes. @drtifftaft @APBBlue hey! Yup just joined! I have a feeling twitter won’t be waiting for me in December @dramypsyd @APBBlue agreed. I'm trying to find everyone I can who I'm connected to on the bird app. I'm not on IG because Mark Zuckerberg is satan. So if you see something about where the cool kids from #TherapistTwitter are landing please let me know @dramypsyd @APBBlue I should say the cool kids are those who eat during session while wearing cardigans and act like human beings on social media. But you know that @drtifftaft @APBBlue Omg have you watched Stutz yet? There’s a part where the therapist takes his medication in the session and I was like some people are gonna get sooooooo mad 🤣 @drtifftaft @APBBlue I recorded commentary as I watched, I tried not to yell with excitement lol @dramypsyd @APBBlue a patient brought me delicious homemade guacamole recently and I totally ate it at the start of session. It'd be offensive to let it turn brown. @dramypsyd Was the study also capable of calculating the answer to life, the universe, and everything? @tobiasgray @dramypsyd everyone knows the answer is 22. It’s the question that needs to be sorted out. #DontPanic @InayaShujaat @tobiasgray @dramypsyd What do you get if you multiply six by nine? @dramypsyd Considering the scale of the study, let's hope they discover the equations of human behavior and invent psychohistory at the very least. @dramypsyd I think you deviated just a tad from the Belmont Report principles. @dramypsyd The simulation in which we live will now reboot to install an upgrade. Thank you for your participation. @dramypsyd what exactly were you trying to learn? And what were your findings? Because the words "turd" and "punchbowl" spring to mind... @dramypsyd so basically the followup to the Harvard T3 Facebook study, complete with lack of participant consent?
@dramypsyd @dramypsyd Don't take the experiment down yet, it's not yet finished! It's actually the mice that have been running complex experiments on humans through #Twitter as part of their 10-million-year research program to find the #UltimateQuestion. @dramypsyd I knew it! The point when you added it variables that couldn’t possibly be real were a dead giveaway @dramypsyd too credible to be a real conspiracy theory Make it Bob Jones U and the dirtbag left will adopt this as ground truth @dramypsyd Curious to know what was the objective of the study. If the question was "Are human stupid?" I dont think we needed 16 years to get to that conclusion 😂 @dramypsyd I definitely could perform an extensive psychological study from my four years on Twitter! @dramypsyd @dramypsyd This is hilarious yet conforms to many of my concerns about the field of sociology writ large. Meaning, foundational theories are deployed without navigating the choppy waters of algorithmic content mediation. Top of my mind is social movement theory. Under Twitter’s algorithm, for example, I don’t think it would have had a galvanizing role in the Arab Spring. @dramypsyd No study in social sciences is valid until is has been successfully repeated! @dramypsyd “Scientists wanted to see if they could influence those tested to repeat unproven nonsense. ‘The murderous hate mobs were an unexpected variable,’ stated one researcher.” |
@dramypsyd look forward to the white paper ::blobcatreading:
