@abundance That's an insane pitch and I'll have to check this out!

Congrats on the release.

Sony Bravia, I'm coming 4 you

@abundance This is *extremely* interesting and I'm having a great time so far.

@abundance hi! this is weird and great! but why does my 1608kHz say I can listen to or destroy it, but I see no options to do either thing? Similarly with drinking rain, do I have to unlock something else to do these actions?

everest

@jseakle radio, hammer, and cup respectively - you can generate them out of the same system

Jake Eakle

@abundance gotcha, thanks! would be great if when you haven't seen a thing that enables an action, it said like "you can eventually.." or "you may be able to..." instead of just "you can", which makes me feel like i just haven't found the button in the UI.

similarly, would be awesome if the UI made it clear (e.g. via progress in the experiment pane?) that generator items don't function when held, that felt bad to discover.

everest

@jseakle good notes! generator items do function when held

Jake Eakle

@abundance oh whoa ok i guess i was just thinking about the times wrong. thanks!!

@abundance This is trippy as all get-out, but also mesmerizing... 😄

@lorenschmidt thank you!!! so happy to finally see some permutation of this idea realized

@abundance this is a good game. It's been years since I enjoyed a game and I am frankly enjoying this one.

@abundance This is *fascinating*

Are recipe times randomized? This mushroom + salt seems to be taking much longer than expected.

(Also, a minor bug: repeating a known recipe seems to forget it in the log, i.e. the ??? in the second log)

everest

@mjk two bugs for me to investigate, thank you!

Matt Keeter

@abundance This was after closing + reopening the page, so I wonder if the progress times for recipes-in-progress got reset to zero?

everest

@mjk possible? or possible if you happened to reload right during an autosave that it somehow logged the div but didn't log the recipes and they aren't checking against anything anymore? i will try to replicate it!

everest

@mjk if they do ever resolve, let me know! if not, that's useful info! thank you!
