@leo Not everyone tooting here even uses mastodon. There is pleroma too, and pleroma users can talk with mastodon users. None of that would go to pleroma devs.

When talking to people, I feel it's all fine and great to say "come to mastodon, here is a server you can join, it's like twitter!". It's not cool to confuse people with all that fediverse talk.

But we are not talking "in mastodon". We are, if I understood correctly, talking in fediverse. Mastodon is just the software you use to talk here. Like there are multiple email software projects that can all talk with each other, like outlook and thunderbird. And each email server like gmail and hotmail can use different software. They may have different features, though.
