I don't know why it's so good, but it probably has a lot to do with the vertical tabs! @mattyames @dnsprincess Vertical tabs, tab sleeping and faster performance keep me on Edge (on Linux) @dnsprincess I tried Firefox but went back to Vivaldi after some time. #ManifestV3 will make the choice for me if it is implemented. @dnsprincess @dnsprincess @dnsprincess Librewolf, a Firefox fork with more privacy related settings implemented by default @dnsprincess @dnsprincess I've been using Arc Browser (Mac-only for now) for a few months and I love it! @rysiek @dnsprincess I think with the current web, Firefox is the only one that truly lets you to block all ads and tracking. @dnsprincess Chrome on desktop, but Kiwi on mobile, because it lets you install Chrome extensions (first thing I did is install uBlock Origin) @dnsprincess I use Chrome as my main, but then for accounts that I have different log-ins, I use Brave, but also use Edge for a couple of tabs too. Maybe I'm an extreme user? :D @dnsprincess use brave / tor for privacy, chrome for google services, edge for ms services and opera as daily driver @MichaelRoss @dnsprincess What are your thoughts on the new built-in TikTok sidebar on Opera? Seems counterintuitive for a privacy browser. @Dark_Nexus @dnsprincess Also, I wouldn't use opera for privacy even with different search engine @MichaelRoss @dnsprincess I don’t trust Opera at all - just curious to hear what an Opera user’s thoughts were on it. @Dark_Nexus @dnsprincess Have been using Opera for years, no security or privacy breaches but still wouldn't trust it. The only reason I stick with it, is the click tab to return to top of web page feature and like its interface and speed @Dark_Nexus @dnsprincess use the following extensions on opera - privacy badger, ublock origins, cookie autodelete, virus total, fingerprint blockers and javascript disabled by default @MichaelRoss @dnsprincess I do that on the browsers I use now, but I’ll never use Opera. Just curious about people’s thoughts on their browser choice. @dnsprincess The two prime browsers I use are Firefox and Vivaldi. Edge is forced upon you as you use the 'Search' feature of windows it always pushes it to Edge with your results. This seems monopolistic and I hate that but its their OS and they get to set the rules I suppose. I take the search results and push them into Firefox or Vivaldi and then use those browsers. There was an Edge Redirect addon that was neutered to the point of being unusable. @dnsprincess librewolf, is just firefox with a lot of privacy configurations out of the box. @dnsprincess Firefox, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, DDG browser, etc. are all good options. I obliterated Google Chrome and Chromium from every machine I own upon the Manifest V3 announcement years ago, and haven't looked back. I actively use 3. maybe not all in one day or at same time. Firefox, Brave, Safari. use any combo of 2 every day. use all 3 at same time about once per week. @dnsprincess Vivaldi. Based on chrome (chromium) but focused on privacy and total personalisation. Used to use Avant (= IE + Firefox + Chrome) but that closed down in 2020. So recently I moved to Chrome for regular internet stuff and Edge for Microsoft stuff. @dnsprincess Vivaldi. It's based on Chrome but it has a feature set that is *without parallel* and on which I've become dependent. @dnsprincess I use ungoogled-chromium. @dnsprincess Refreshing to see Firefox on top. But not very surprising considering the nature of the platform. @dnsprincess Firefox and/or Librewolf. Additionally with uBlock/PiHole and PrivacyBadger. @dnsprincess Chrome, Firefox, Safari and TOR browser regularly, and sometimes Edge to see how a page looks there. @dnsprincess Hi Alissa. I use Safari and sometimes Firefox. I don't trust Google with my information so I don't use Chrome. This is particularly true with regard to my college communications due to Title IX concerns. @dnsprincess I've been using Vivaldi on and off for the past few months, and I think I have permanently switched at some point along the way. Had previously been a firefox devotee since it was called phoenix. @Vivaldi @dnsprincess using DuckDuckGo browser on iOS and switching between Brace and DuckDuckGo on Mac. @theLobdegg @dnsprincess omg I remember that browser. I used to use it because it still supported shockwave long after it died @dnsprincess I use Firefox on desktop as my main browser, because I love the bookmark tree. I don't use the mobile browser though, seems very slow. |
@dnsprincess depends. On my PC I use Firefox and on mobile and Chromebook I use chrome
