@ChrisPirillo Human artists find inspiration in other artists, but machine learning models can’t be inspired at all, any more than the Google algorithm is inspired to serve you relevant search results. There’s nothing human-like about the way generative AI art systems can infer patterns from billions of images and generate millions of new images daily at incredibly high fidelity, typically as a commercial service, so comparing the two in legal/ethical debates feels misguided to me.
