@Gargron have you counted the number of new instances? My rough approximation from looking at a couple of start sites is around 1200-1500. That's the beauty of Mastodon/Fediverse scaling to me... It's not just one big monolith, there is horizontal scaling and more people / orgs investing in the whole network.

@Gargron to be honest, I wasn't eager to join. Still, it seems like most of the infosec Twitter is moving here and so I had to join in order to remain in the loop. I think this is definitely a great achievement for a social network: it means that an avalanche effect is starting! 🚀
