@Gargron I love having something I can spend a bit of time hacking to fit my exact needs. The flexibility is refreshing.

@Gargron it's pretty great but it seems suboptimal to use a closed hosted platform in the knowledge space.

Open alternatives I'm aware of:

- TiddlyWiki.
- Athens/Logseq (Roam likes, single user for now) plus some publishing/sharing/community solution (I am working on one right now).

@Gargron It's a great tool, but in my experience the lack of structure can become a negative thing if a lot of people start using it (>20 non-tech people).
So you need someone to be the Notion police and enforce some kind of structure. For project management, I prefer Basecamp.

@Gargron do you use it for personal note-taking or team planning?

@Gargron really enjoyed that it natively comes with LaTeX support. However, I agree with other people that its functionality can be overwhelming. I use Joplin now for simple notetaking

@Gargron

Notion is great! I migrated from EverNote after their pricing fiasco and haven't looked back.
