@TaxDan The trick is that you don't want to self host.

If you're willing to self host, there's lots of stuff.

I use nextcloud for dropbox and hedgedoc as a text editor.

@ajroach42 @TaxDan It's going to hard to find something free that provides the stuff google is giving you without having basically the same issues as being beholden to google. There may be some community run Nextcloud servers that offer free accounts with limited storage and then charge if you need more space than what they provide for free. But I don't recall where to find those servers at the moment.
