@kelly hahahahah now that you ask, today I am planning on doing some software development for the first time a month @darius I really do miss these little programs that did one thing and one thing acceptably. @stolas it was a graphical interface to the Lame mp3 encoder library, you just dropped an audio file on it and it either encoded to mp3 or decoded to wav depending on the file type you dropped in. there were lots of settings you could tweak but ultimately the UX was: drop a file on the widget, it puts a file in the original source directory in a different format @nasser I was saying the other day that social media / youtube culture for me as a child was just talking into my tape deck for hours at a time and listening to the playback  @darius hash tag #whynotboth (at once). i feel like auto transcription has such amazing potential. i love sending voice messages to people, async communication, but i also want to attach an index of the contents, for fast reading, as a courtesy. |
