@mike yes and no.
The problem is that if everyone else stays on meta and keeps hating, doxxing and adding to the fire... the fire will also affect our lives somehow. Maybe through the net... maybe through elections... maybe through a violent mob in your street. And we didn't see any of it coming, because we were chanting with furry friends in happy fediland.

Like the vibe, but I hate that the default state for the mass is to use meta and it should not be (extreme example in some countries facebook / whatsapp is the internet in a way of accessing it)

There are so many reasons why I want everybody to be in some way on the fediverse in the future, maybe not now or tomorrow but someday
