@homegrown I tried YunoHost. I like it so far but haven't played with it much. When I have more time to install more apps and use them for a while I might post a more in depth review. So far it looks like a neat way for those new to self hosting to get their feet wet.
I found out about it from your post so thanks for turning me on to it!
