Can you explain why prices in EUR/USD are a problem? (That could help providers consider alternative options.) If, say, https://masto.host/pricing/ offered the basic plan for 36 BRL/month instead of 6 $/month, would it be more accessible?
@nemobis I pay around 7 USD in my water bill for a whole month, so I don't think 6 USD for 5 users is something reasonable. Don't get me wrong, but is not just a matter or exchanging rates, but cost of living. Also, I could pay in EUR/USD but I choose not to do since there's a local tax (%) over international transactions that would increase the cost on my end.
An ideal solution would be a brazilian service like masto[dot]host or fedi[dot]monster... I'm willing to learn how to run an instance by my own, but it takes time and I would have to delay creating the instance itself. Thank you very much for sharing the plan, maybe this is the closer I can get to an ideal solution so I'm gonna consider this for sure.
