Excited to see Mastodon become the new social networking standard soon… I'll recommend people try to find other instances! Think; what are you going to mainly post on your account? General chat, some fandom, some specific interests? Then try that :D I heard the sweet spot is 500 to 5000 people. The #Fediverse is stronger with smaller, more servers. (Yes I know I am contradicting what I said literally just yesterday xD I'm still learning!)  @Gargron Thank you for all the work you are doing to accommodate all the #newcomers. #Mastodon feels like a fresh, interesting, exciting venue. Different from a bird app replacement in intriguing, healthy ways. @Gargron I've noticed some slowdown here and there, and I'm unable to upload any images as it loads indefinitely. I have confidence you'll do great work improving the quality of mastodon.online! :mastodon:    @Gargron If you run a street art account with photos here you are now practically dead while everyone else gets to meet great new people. No upload possible. It's not slower, no interaction at all anymore without 30 attempts. i could cry. A friend who just joined got their conf email almost immediately.  @zauberlaus Automation is possible, for example with Kubernetes, however I do not currently use it. Let's wait a couple of weeks. I am a total open source-, open standard- and open platform-fan. But let's wait if this is a trend or just a hype. If Musk is serious to abandon censorship, it might imply to accept misinformation, and end with the platform being swarmed with alt-right, driving away a lot of current userbase. But if Mastodon becomes mainstream, does it have any mechanism to do better than Musk Twitter and defend against misinformation?   @Gargron Thanks for all the hard work.
