@Gargron Please, do something about posts migration in @Mastodon. People need that. People want to be able to actually hop servers without losing every single piece of the stuff they made and just accumulating everyone on MDS is garbage strategy.

@drq it's all shitposts and have no value to others. I don't want my half-dying instance to process 100500 posts because few smart adhd kids migrate everyday.

Preserve the text itself! Metadata on other instances? Change it opportunistically, on "only as needed" basis.

If no one requires the content/context, everything stays put.
