Jack Dorsey followed Mastodon on Twitter a month ago so it's not like he doesn't know Mastodon exists, take from that what you will  @gargron acting like he's gonna invent it while following the mastodon acct is ballsy. Reach out to an interviewer who covered you favorably in the past and ask if they think there's a story in this. Jack cravenly ripping the idea without naming the thing that already is EXACTLY THAT feels a little fearful. |
@Gargron seems like a positive step. More decentralisation is good for the wider web. A Twitter-based decentralised network doesn't invalidate the need or desire for Mastodon as an open alternative.
