As a fellow masto-admin since the spring of '17 days myself I have a little bit of appreciation for what is involved and your site is orders of magnitude bigger and certainly orders of magnitude more burdensome too so that is quite a load you've carried all these years!

Since I started coales.co your instance has consistently been in the top 10 most active on mine and has been a large and very positive presence on my timelines. To say mastodon.technology will be missed is an understatement!

That said taking care of yourself and your family always takes priority and this is 100% the right choice and you should NOT feel bad or sorry or disappointed for it! You and many others may feel sad at the moment but it's for the best and everyone will manage.

Take all the time you need and I hope at some point you find a home in a nice new comfy corner of the fediverse!
