@pagrus they are a writer/publisher centric site, rather than catering to readers. So it's "good" if you want to see pageviews, referrers, have people subscribe to your content with a button click, and an ecosystem for people to share/recommend your article. I put good in quotes because I think it's bad
@pagrus you can get almost all this with wordpress.org or whatever (minus the medium-specific sharing and recommending ecosystem) but medium is honestly low friction and my sense is people do click to read articles on medium over some personal domain name
