@Gargron Hey, everybody knows that simply having a cat near you makes you 101% cooler. @Gargron Based on this article — were I still single, I'd STILL post a profile foto with my cat, for the express purpose of weeding out women who 1)aren't cat people, and 2)cling to that lame old trope about guys who like cats being "feminine" or "sissies". Real men don't need dogs to prove how "masculine" they are. Real men aren't afraid to love cats. Right, Minnie? |
@Gargron Nice summary and open access pdf: https://www.mdpi.com/2076-2615/10/6/1007 The methodology is quite... unconvincing. Most obviously, their material consist of 4 pictures of 2 ~20yo guys, and their surveyors are recruited from Mechanical Turk who did surveys for ¢50 (so probably very poor young women, possibly disinterested in rigourously answering questions). Can't comment on the findings as this is not my discipline and IDK the literature but the experiment has no legs.
