@Gargron seems to me that preventing the status from being unmounted while the media player is playing would allow you to skip the gap by just moving the one media player around with CSS
@fool For sure but assuming I can prevent that in the infinite scroll component, what happens in single-column UI when the user navigates to a different view (e.g. someone's profile)? Would the player disappearing be the expected UX?
