@gudenau Firefox has nothing to do with it directly. If you use the official Picture-in-picture API which is available in Chrome (and not Firefox) you'll still have the problem that playback stops when the status component gets unmounted (such as when you scroll away from it far enough, or navigate somewhere else in the UI).
