@rnd @enigmatico Apple yeeted them to make their macbooks slimmer then all tech media went "this is so thin and light it's fucking amazing" then all other OEMs followed and made their laptops impossibly thin for regular ethernet ports, some tries to use some fancy ethernet ports that slide out and expand to full size but eventually everyone just ditched ethernet completely
