@alternative_be (I mean not to be a stickler but the people who aren't here very often probably won't be represented in the sample...)

@greatlevi Yes, that’s true. It’s not possible to run a poll for more than 7 days.

Run the week-long poll every week for a few months. :D

@BillySmith @greatlevi Things are getting crazy as it is. I never expected so many responders.

You can renormalize by the probability of each group being online for the period of 1week. That way you can have an estimation of everybody even the ones not locked-in.
For example for the one week period group you will have these people having a 50% chance (I think, I have to actually do the math to be sure) to seen your post therefore you devide their number by 50% which is the same with multiplying by 2.

@alternative_be πŸ€” maybe you could compensate for it by running the poll for one day, and saying "are you a) here every day, b) 1/7 days, or c) 1/30 days" and then you would multiply the 1/7 answers by 7, and the 1/30 answers by 30

@alternative_be like, if in a single day you encountered 1 person who says they're only there once a month, you could maybe say you would have encountered 31 such people if you had kept the poll open all month
