Why do I cross post from #Mastodon to the 🐦 site and vice versa? Because there still are many good people on #Twitter who would be an asset to 🐘 and secretly I hope they will join #Mastodon !

@alternative_be Which is why I only sync from Mastodon to Twitter. Not the other way round. All those retweets cluttering up my timeline here from people wo don't even know Mastodon exist doesn't feel right, IMHO.

@jwildeboer @alternative_be I only crosspost manually from Twitter to Mastodon, so that automatically means no retweets (only quoted retweets and normal tweets). Sometimes I also crosspost from Mastodon to Twitter, but only my own content and preferably posts that are longer than a tweet, so people are forced to go to Mastodon (for visibility).

@joenepraat @jwildeboer I prefer to cross post from Mastodon to Twitter only. Tweets look annoying on Mastodon.

@alternative_be Whatever you like, but please keep in mind that people are for privacy reasons on Mastodon. So that's why I don't crosspost other peoples stuff.

@alternative_be
Look on your platform store, there are several apps that do both mastodon and twitter and allow easy crosspost.
There is also github.com/renatolond/mastodon and the online version is here: crossposter.masto.donte.com.br
good luck

@alternative_be The only apps I know that do both are
twidere for android
and
ore2 for ios
but I must say that not being on twitter, I haven't been looking much. Most people who come to mastodon leave twitter behind, so there is no great market for an app that cover both.
