@Gargron
Hey! I have a couple questions, if you don't mind?
I really disliked, on Facebook, how you would opt to follow someone and never see their posts; will Mastodon be different?
And just curious, how does your flagging of posts work? On Facebook they flag a lot of posts that are harmless, and then let other, very harmful posts circulate - will that be different as well?
Thanks for your patience, I'm actually really excited about this site :)
@kendrasteel Hi, your home feed is all posts from people you follow, no more, no less, that's our selling point. The one thing we do filter out is when someone is replying to a person you don't follow, that way your feed is not cluttered with conversations you can only see a half of.
There's no auto-flagging on Mastodon, but users do submit reports. How moderators treat reports is different from community to community; I am responsible for mastodon.online and mastodon.social.
