@ruari I guess Edwin Starr never got chance to read Wikipedia. If so, โthe popularisation of pizzaโ would be the answer to โWar, huh! What is it good for?โ instead of โAbsolutely nothingโ  @ruari on the subject of #wikipedia โฆ 1) Do you donate to Wikipedia?? 2) Whatโs a good alternative to Wikipedia?? I remember once doing a search for sites that were running #mediawiki and finding a bunch of specialist subject wikis. 1) I have donated to Wikipedia before but must admit I have not done so now for years now. 2) No idea other than not Conservapedia. @ruari Wikipedia is great because โanyone can edit itโ but on the handful of occasions Iโve added or edited information, itโs often been removed for being โnot notableโ (as in a random moderator in the USA didnโt care for my cited UK local knowledge) or it got removed because the โwriting styleโ felt โpromotionalโ. Iโve never felt welcomed when editing Wikipedia. @matt I have made a few edits and perhaps been lucky with them. No problems. P.S. I give all my searches to Ecosia right now. @matt I doubt they can ever be a big company because I don't think most people would understand why they should pay (or that they are paying anyway in other ways) but this was not your question. Worth it? Well for me it is. ๐ @matt If your question was about quality.
