Gregory's ServerCurious choice to reveal so early on that multiple worlds do actually exist and portals between them are possible. That wasn't in the book. Likewise Lyra shouldn't have learned about the daemon separation device up until she meets the abandoned boy in the north. While I can understand the purpose of the latter to up the stakes for viewers about Roger, the former seems purposeless to me right now. 🤔

I want to see more, but I am starting to be disappointed. I actually forgot about another huge early reveal, Lyra's parentage, until I started reading discussions about the episode. This show has an adequate production value but it seems like it's falling short in the screenwriting department. |
