@nobullyplz @a1ba @lunarised @mystik @lanodan @KashKustomer @eternalclassic @neo @lewdthewides @dave @zemichi @mystik @bajax I just experimented. I walked behind my apartment to the gazebo (a place I'm 95% sure he's never been before) and it took a little verbal coaxial but he followed me and then went around exploring and sniffing everything. Chasing bugs and playing with plants.
He didn't want to venture more than about 20 feet from me but as long as I was close by he felt safe enough to explore nearby. When we went back he ran ahead of me, stopping and waiting for me to catch up, then running ahead some more. Happy to get back to familiar territory.
I think he'll do great on walks. I think he'd do fine without a leash but I'd rather have one just in case. Especially with hazards like cars, stray dogs, etc.
Especially stray dogs. If there was no leash I could easily see him running for safety and possibly losing him or worse.
At least with a leash I can easily pull him to me and pick him up to keep him safe. I'd happily put my safety in jeopardy to keep Cornbread safe without any hesitation or second thought.

That sounds dangerous to me.
I actually remember how I saw one man jogging every morning when I was going to uni. He had a cat on his head.
