@reiver @pixelfed @loops @dansup You couldn't pay me a million dollars to use loops with it's current license in place. Anyone who uses it is being played for a fool.
READ. THE. LICENSE.
@sb @pixelfed @loops @dansup
The Loops license is AGPL:
https://github.com/joinloops/loops-server/blob/main/LICENSE
The AGPL is pretty a common license with Fediverse software.
(For example, it is the same license Mastodon uses.)
...
Is there something in particular about the AGPL that you dislike?

I'm referring to the loops.video ToS:
https://loops.video/legal/terms-of-service
Which I see now has been changed 5 days ago to something sane.
Someone posted to a blog post all about the previous license on this thread. It was not ok.
@sb@metroholografix.ca @reiver@mastodon.social @pixelfed@mastodon.social @loops@pixelfed.social @dansup@mastodon.social Well, it's nice to see it updated, it's amazing how sparse it is in comparison. Sane, even. Here's the previous version: https://web.archive.org/web/20241207023404/https://loops.video/legal/terms-of-service
