@f4grx ...out of curiosity, why? I mean, apart from that it's not art-focused, what's your reason?

But more to the point of our ask, do you have a not-anti-suggestion that you think _would_ work for her needs?

@jgilbert there are too many people on it. It's twitter bis, and basically means no efforts are made to build a truly federated and resilient network. Also, moderation is lacking, so it's the home of many spammers.

@f4grx @jgilbert And a lot of users/instances block Mastodon.social, so if the idea of leaving Mastodon.art is more visibility, dot social will not be much of an improvement in that area.

@allenstenhaus @f4grx you both are making good points.

Do you have an instance suggestion?

Allen

@jgilbert @f4grx I wish I did. Unfortunately, this is one of those "I know what not to do, but not what to do" situations.

I hope you get some more suggestions soon.

@jgilbert for your question, depends on what they're here for. If the goal is subscriber numbers and statistics, mastoson.social will do, but instagram or bluesky are more adapted.

If you're here for genuine noncommercial contacts with lovely people, any instance will do even the generic ones, as soon as it's normally federated.

Mastodon.art is quite strict regarding moderation and general instance quality, but most others are not that rigorous.
