Eugene :emacs: :freebsd:, Smithereen supports all kinds of text ~~formatting~~. Post text is actually sent between servers as HTML.

And you can do quotes, too.

And code blocks.

And lists, but while Mastodon supports them, I don't support creating them in Smithereen.
