@Gargron @milcom i had a question about how backend works.

supposedly, mastodon.social is blocked in india.

would the content on it stay available through (let's say) mstdn.social because the data is fetched server side?

i understand that public profiles that load on blocked domains would not work.

but they should still work from the unblocked instance along with all other functionality (follow,boost,fav,etc)?
