@gleick not meant to truly burst this bubble because i mostly agree, but sometimes wikipedia 'consensus' isn't truly consensus.
changing to the vector 2022 theme for instance, was done after consensus failed to be reached without attempting to reach consensus again, citing that they'd "made changes to fix the criticisms" - and then they required actual consensus to revert to the old skin.
wikipedia is not immune to power plays.
