It doesn't exist as a money printing machine for a single person, it exists as a knowledge transport medium from human to human.

Being a long time donor to Wikipedia:
It is much cheaper to give them a few Euros per year, instead of
- Not knowing what you need to know
or
- Buying hundreds of books
