Step one: Firmware update on the respective drives. `hdparm --fwdownload xxxxxxxxxx.bin --yes-i-know-what-i-am-doing --please-destroy-my-drive /dev/sdb` What could possibly go wrong? The hot phase (moving data across servers) has started now. Please be prepared for performance degradation during this time. The positive side-effect is that we have plenty of storage now. (The numbers are slightly blowed up, because we temporarily had to add more disks than strictly necessary for the migration to succeed. They will be repurposed afterwards.) |
