I probably would have rethought the domain if I had it to do over again, but I love being part of a FREE social media network that can't be bought by a mindless psychopath billionaire and driven into the ground.

@StillIRise1963 @GossiTheDog I hosted my own for a few months on Cloudflare, but the server kept filling up and I had to figure out how to navigate the Linux command line, remove files, and restart stuff. Was a big pain. Then I found https://masto.host/ and that has been amazing. My server is just $9 a month and the guy who manages it takes care of everything. But being part of any other server is equally awesome. It's all about the community. |
