Community Guidelines are important and can differ between instances.

Our app has that covered, and we'll link to them in the appropriate context like when a user reports a post with the reason "I just don't like this".

This is just the tip of our app safety features, we look forward to sharing more in the coming days! #pixelfed

And don't worry, the video player will be finished before the beta release! It's one of the last todo items 😉

@pixelfed The app looks like a good version of instagram, great for new users coming from those apps, great job!

@pixelfed There probably should be an option to allow the reporting of stuff, that violates the community guidelines but but isn't covered by any of the other categories. That option could even be on the community guideline page, a kind of "yes the thing I don't like actually violates the 'only pictures of topic x' rule of this server" button. Because currently this page is a cul-de-sac, where the user has no way to go but back.

@pixelfed i think if server rules are defined then the generic/predefined categories aren't necessary

basically the report reason should take you directly to the server rule list and have one additional option at the end "it's something else", with checkboxes

@pixelfed The app looks amazing. Please take all the time you need developing it. I think many newcomers will judge Pixelfed based on their experience with the mobile app, so it's important to focus on appealingness and useful features.
