It was actually all the protective stuff keeping the spanners n spammers at bay, along with all the other baddies. I know that @cambraca who keeps musicians.today puts a lot of effort in to making our space a joyful place, probably far more than any of us 'regular folks' ever imagine!
@nigelharpur @cambraca by running your own instance and being the single user, it limits a lot the unwanted interactions
and responses/mitigations are much faster because don't have to consult anyone but yourself before moderating
