  @skinnylatte around 30 yrs ago, a friend from school went for a job at a defence/intelligence adjacent organisation. The clearance was quite invasive. It included interviewing/interrogating friends.   @skinnylatte "defence still has a very clear mandate from the government to prepare to fight wars we hope we don't have to fight, while climate change is a competing factor with all of those things" Somebody still has a few dots to connect, even beyond the bit where the kids don't want to be part of the problem. It's almost like the kids have a clearer perspective on the situation than the seasoned pros. |
