I’m a 3, barely (hobby coder), but I didn’t require any technical expertise to get started 2 years ago. The hurdle imo is picking a server. I intentionally picked a not-too-big one and it’s been great, but I also lucked out.

Decentralization is a strength and, to me, a core value. But the diversity and quantity of choices can be overwhelming, ie, Paradox of choice https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Paradox_of_Choice

A tool to help new users with that problem would be very valuable I think.
