@neauoire @milofultz Heh, I'm sure you already know this, but the small shops are actually worse. BCL has a provincial monopoly on all alcohol imports. Even the specialty shops for, say, fine French wine, have to import via BCL (and thus set their prices to the markup after they've paid the state monopoly)

So when I lived in Vancouver and my friends and I would go out into nature, we'd make damn sure to stock up at a BCL before leaving the GVRD, because the smol shops would be 5-10% more
