Sigh...

Well, it's what they call social engineering, but this one was too easy.... ;)

Well known tricks: befriend, chitchat, and let them talk...

And in the end 90% make obvious choices, names of pets, loved ones, easily rememberable dates... etc etc...

Admin Admin... sigh...

You'd be surprised at the number of people whose phone id is actually 0000. My uncle, many years ago, thought he was really smart by using 'password' as his password ANYWHERE. They'll never guess THAT, he bellowed. Sure. ๐Ÿคท

@Eetschrijver @stux Yeah, I know the 0000 ;)

The 2 factor authentication nowadays makes it much safer, but also (much) more annoying...

It's well known that many people will skip annoying stuff.

Also!

But for (my) work, for "official" tooling and logon to company network it's mandatory...

And monthly changes to the PWDs...

And then there are cheat sheets.... (writing them doing)...

@xs4me2 @stux not all engineering problems are very difficult ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Landa @stux

Thatยดs because they are not actually engineering ;)

@xs4me2 I donโ€™t know.
As I grow experienced in this job, I started to understand that sometimes a little white hat social engineering is the best engineering solution available ๐Ÿ˜‚
