Gregory's Server@realtegan @bsky.brid.gy yep I am using this bridging tool for BlueSky but one drawback is that the character limit is different. Here it's 500 but BlueSky caps at 300. So anything I toot over 300 is truncated.

I actually find that useful. If what I start out saying is interesting enough, they'll start coming to wandering.shop to check out the rest. Then they'll get used to the idea of the fediverse not being all one service.
Yeah, there are drawbacks. Yeah, not everyone will go. But it's something.
Also, if I want to post something for Mastodon people only, I just put it at the end of my post.
