Most likely b/c "all" politicans have no idea how to find or use alternative platforms and just go with whatever inertia presents them, regardless of what it implies.
Journos can certainly monitor TwitterX but if they're continuing to post there, they're being complicit with the changes on the platform and therefore helping legitimise it in the public sphere. And they're *terrified* of losing their followers (and rebuilding their network) should they go elsewhere.
