This is particularly frustrating when one of your hyper-local elections only attracts a few thousand votes total and two of the candidates are within 100 votes of each other!

Wow, it looks like San Mateo County only continues counting votes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - could be a couple of more weeks before all of our local elections are 100% decided! smcacre.gov/elections/november

The post-election day results will be released before 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: Thursday, November 7 Friday, November 8 Monday, November 11 (Veterans Day) Wednesday, November 13 Friday, November 15 Monday, November 18 Wednesday, November 20 Friday, November 22 Additional results releases may be scheduled as needed. Results will be certified on December 5.

@simon here in Sonoma we get updates Tuesday and Thursday. Waiting with bated breath on one particular race that's turning into a real nail biter.

@simon I'm guessing they count at least 5 days a week but in order to publish reports they probably need to go though some procedure that isn't negligible, so they only report every other day to have more time for counting.
