Gregory's Serveri was looking through some old pictures and found these from when i monitored nesting black skimmers on the beach about 10 years ago. look at these little fluff balls!

 i love skimmers so much, what strange looking creatures. i wish i had a recording of what these colonies sounded like though. it was an absolute cacophony lmao @loren I used to see them fairly often where I used to live, and loved seeing the skimming in action. Magic. It wasn’t until years later I saw a photo of what they look like end-on. Had no idea their bills were so narrow!
