@n0p3x I review several social networks daily, including a few mastodon servers. The amount of political hate is insane. That's true, in Mastodon I can at least filter by keywords @henry In the past i've used nearly every social media site, to at least test out, often anonymously. Mastodon and other Fediverse options really are the only ones I can deal with ultimately. With that said, I filter a TON of content here with the available controls as a user and also block instances that seem to be consistently problematic. The fediverse may not be perfect but it's the only option I genuinely find useful for tech info especially.  @jasper Ahh... treat it as AI-impressionism. It should not be realistic and six fingers is a feature, not a bug 😀 |
@henry On the plus side, Mastodon being an option without algorithms pushing content aimed at engagement through divisive content is nice.
That with a well curated filter / mute/drop list is very helpful during all of this imo.
It definitely lessens the amount of nonsense and arguing over politics in my feed here daily and makes it a place where I can focus on tech stuff.
