@ntoskrnl y'all do know that dns only works because we agree to it, right? You could hijack .fox anywhere you have control of zone files.

@Netux @ntoskrnl Which kinda falls apart when you want someone to access that DNS name that doesn't want to or cannot change their DNS to something custom, or when you want to do TLS thingsā„¢ without handing out your own CAs to everyone as well :/

There already are intranets over the internet doing their own thing (which is cool, don't get me wrong!), but it usually requires reconfiguration of your client/router/server or a VPN connection

Mostly in jest, but if you ran an isp you could hijack a tdl by declaring yourself authorative and stop recursing for it.

@Netux @snep @ntoskrnl AlterNIC existed for years, it wasn't successful, or good. But its certainly possible.
